Association Jardins de Tomates

The Jardins de Tomates association was founded by three gardening friends in 2005.

Fascinated by heirloom tomatoes offering a wide range of colors and flavors that had nothing in common with the red varieties available on the market, our friends soon found themselves at the head of a collection of around 500 varieties.

Determined to share their passion with the general public, our friends organized a tomato exhibition at a large garage sale in the Sud-Gironde region in August 2006, and presented over 350 varieties to an audience that was as astonished as it was admiring.

A few tastings won over the visitors, and that was all it took to decide to set up an association.
