Terres d'Oiseaux
Situated on an area of preserved marshland, Terres d'Oiseaux is one of the last reed beds in the Gironde Estuary. This biotope is home to rare birds and is a shelter for many insects, amphibians and mammals. Reed harriers, herons, storks, marsh snipe: more than 110 species of birds have been observed.
The site offers 2 distinct and complementary areas
- a free space that allows visitors to access an observation tower, the reception building offering a relaxation area, café and shop as well as the panoramic restaurant,
- a paying area composed of 3 ornithological paths lined with observatories equipped with fixed telescopes.
