Cérons, Aux sources du ciron

New PDIPR 2026 Itinerary:

Cérons owes its name to the Ciron River, which, in medieval times, flowed into the Garonne here. In the 18th century, the Carthusians diverted the river to Barsac to power the mill by the bridge. This pleasant route offers varied landscapes: Starting from the village, the route winds through agricultural landscapes and vineyards, dotted with castles and other heritage sites known as “vernacular heritage” (wash houses, wells, mission crosses, etc.).
