Parc du château Kirwan
The chateau's magnificent gardens spread over almost 2 hectares
Chateau Kirwan has stood proudly on the hills outside Cantenac since the 18th century.
As well as the remarkable edifice that towers over the surrounding vines, visitors can discover the sensory pleasures of the estate's romantic, tranquil gardens.
The chateau's magnificent grounds spread over almost 2 hectares. On a midday stroll, enjoy the heady aromas of exquisite flowers: intensely vibrant roses (in the splendid rose garden), and delicate magnolias.
Curl up in the cool shade of one of the gardens' great trees, which have been watching over the chateau's grounds since time immemorial.
Whether before or after tasting the chateau's wines, the gardens are a delight to behold, an exquisite, tranquil environment designed by the estate's famous former owner Camille Godard, who also contributed to Bordeaux's Parc Bordelais.
