Moulin des Pelons

Moulin des Pelons - 14th century - Limestone (C: 1.50 m, H: 4 m).

This mill bears traces of a visit by King Henri IV and his mistress Gabrielle d'Estrées, perhaps associated with the pilgrimage to Compostela, with a scallop shell adorning the entrance door. Below, an almost faded lapidary inscription reads: "Gabrielle-Henri IV-N 1591". The Moulin is now a main residence.
