Moulin des Régniers

Moulin des Régniers - 14th century - Limestone.

In 1509, the mill owned by the Régniers brothers, or Reyniers, was a boat mill. In the 19th century, this type of mill disappeared, as it hindered the movement of barges. The current Régniers water mill, now known as the Moulin de Maître Pierre, was probably built in 1840 by Pierre Faure, on a diversion of the Gravouse stream, a few meters from the Dordogne. It remained in the Faure family until 1963.
