Château Couhins
Located on the outskirts of Bordeaux, in the heart of the Pessac-Léognan appellation, Château Couhins is a Graves Cru Classé that has been owned by INRAE, the French National Institute for Agricultural and Environmental Research, since 1968. Building on its rich history, the estate now showcases the full range of results from the viticultural research conducted by INRAE. The Château thus benefits from the latest innovations arising from this research, serving as the institute’s ‘showcase’, with the aim of highlighting the excellence of scientific knowledge in the service of a prestigious wine and sustainable viticulture. Awarded the “Vignobles et Découvertes” label by Atout France, Château Couhins is also the winner of a Best Of d’Or Wine Tourism award in 2015 and 2025 in the categories “Promotion of environmental practices through wine tourism” and “Sustainable wine tourism".
