Château Fonroque

This is the birthplace of the Moueix family in the

Libourne region, and you will see that nothing is

left undone at Fonroque to ensure that its fine claylimestone terroir gives of its best. The château has been a family concern since 1931 and the estate covers 22 hectares, with an 18th-century wine storehouse and renovated wine-tasting room at its centre. After describing the varieties of soils and how they work, we will tell you how we run the estate, which is certified as being organically and biodynamically farmed.
