Château Lestage
In 1963, Marcel Chanfreau bought this estate and it is his grandchildren and great-grandchildren who today ensure the family continuity.
This magnificent vineyard, installed on a slope with steep slopes on the highest point of the Médoc, has successfully crossed the 20th century. This privileged situation allows a beautiful precocity of the grapes, pledge of “greedy” wines which know how to age wonderfully.
Classified Cru Bourgeois Supérieur in 1932 and 2003,and then “Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel” in 2020 Château Lestage continues to be part of this beautiful family.
Always concerned with environmentally friendly viticulture, the Chanfreau family has opted for practices aimed at sustainable and reasoned viticulture inspired by the Cousinié method and has obtained the Terra Vitis and HVE certifications.
