Château Roquefort

It takes its name from the medieval designation Roca Forti but boasts an exceptional history that dates as far back as the Neolithic period, over 5,000 years ago. Since 1978 the Bellanger family has worked on restoring the estate and 18th century charterhouse, replanting 100 hectares of vineyard, and perpetuating the spirit of Roquefort, the alliance of an open, welcoming lifestyle and the quest for excellence. During your visit you will discover the longest passage tomb in Gironde, the 13th century château, and the 18th century dovecot, the machinery of which has been exactly replicated by the Compagnons du Devoir.
