📍 Cessac
Lacs de Laubesc
In the 1970s two successive ponds of 4 and 5 hectares were established in the valley of the Gahet stream in the communes of Cessac and Courpiac at the place called "Laubesc". In 2009, it appears that the two dams have dysfunctions creating ecological disorders. It was therefore decided to develop a project based on the reconversion of this 4-hectare area, combining the preservation of water resources and biodiversity, as well as an interpretation trail of the natural heritage.
Fishing is regulated and the re-stocking is managed by the Departmental Fishing Federation.
The lake is open to walkers. Dogs must be kept on a leash.
