EFS invites you to take advantage of the back-to-school period to (re)get into the habit of giving blood. It also reminds us that as of September 1, the selection criteria for blood donors will change. This is an opportunity to take stock of the new conditions, and to dispel some preconceived ideas.

New donor selection criteria: what changes on September 1? The deferral period for donors has been reduced from 4 to 2 months after a tattoo, piercing or a session of acupuncture, varicose vein sclerosis or mesotherapy.

Donor deferral is also abolished for the use of bone substitutes in dental implantology.
