Patrick Rubinstein, Master of Illusion and Movement

This French artist, who specializes in kinetic art and optical illusions, created Kinetic Op Art, a style in which works change depending on the viewer’s perspective. His creations, exhibited around the world, play on movement and visual perception. For Patrick Rubinstein, movement is never merely an optical effect. It becomes a way of viewing the world in perpetual flux, just as the surface of the Arcachon Basin changes with the tides and the light.

A Kinetic Tribute to the Arcachon Basin

On the waterfront, between the Thiers and Pierre Lataillade piers, twelve monumental works will be installed in public spaces for an open-air exhibition conceived as a visual journey.
