A self-taught painter and visual artist, ZOL has built up a personal and recognizable style over the years, the fruit of an early passion for drawing and painting. It is through acrylics that he fully expresses his creativity. Without an academic approach, but with constant rigor, he has forged a singular plastic language. Color plays an essential role in his work. The artist attaches particular importance to backgrounds, which he integrates fully into the composition. His paintings are characterized by sharp contrasts and chromatic oppositions, sometimes deliberately disrupted by a "sharp" hue that breaks the rhythm.
