Discover the art of cut-out animation!

We’re going to create an animated video of an acrobat practicing on the beach.

This workshop will take place in three stages:

- Creating an animated puppet, working on the design and cutting out the joints

- Drawing the beach backdrop. Working on colors, gradients, and wave patterns

- Animating the character against the background. Focusing on movement, rhythm, and imagination.

For children and adults ages 8 and up

You don’t need to “know how to draw” to participate in this workshop; we’ll focus primarily on the logic of movement.

You can attend all or part of the workshop. If you’re coming just for the animation session, you’ll use the templates drawn by the instructor. Lunch break between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.; you’re welcome to bring a picnic lunch.
