Gwenolé Belbéoc?h, an active member of the Friends of the Lapios Museum association, offers a guided tour of the history of Mons church and its surroundings.

Listed in the Inventaire Supplémentaire des Monuments Historiques (Supplementary Inventory of Historic Monuments), it is surrounded by a charming cemetery, and is one of the most emblematic monuments in the Landes of Gironde.

In the Middle Ages, it was an important stopover on the Tours route, used by pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela.

The tour continues to the Saint-Clair fountain, also listed on the Inventaire Supplémentaire des Monuments Historiques. Accessible via a narrow path beside the cemetery, this healing fountain was described with interest by Léo Drouyn, the famous 19th-century archaeologist.
