Le Jardin en concert
In *Le Soi et l’Autre*, JarDin’s second album, Julien Dubois explores the concept of otherness, reminds us of the need to consider what lies beyond the self, and reflects on the bonds that unite us. This exploration, which offers a perspective on today’s world, addresses themes of empathy, listening, inclusion, and the commons—values that Julien Dubois seeks to place at the heart of his artistic expression.
Julien Dubois develops a compositional style for small ensembles, enriching the orchestra’s timbral palette by incorporating the acoustic piano and the violin. For these new compositions, he collaborates with distinctive artists. Julien Dubois has invited Swiss-American saxophonist Maria Grand to collaborate. Active on the New York scene for over ten years, her artistic vision enriches the album’s poetic intent.
