Rendez-vous aux jardins au Château de La Brède

From Friday 5 to Sunday 7 June, La Brède Castle welcomes you from 2 pm to 6.30 pm as part of the Rendez-vous aux jardins festival. Guided tours of the château – including its exhibition on measuring and optical instruments – tours of the grounds designed by Montesquieu, children’s games, land art and postcard-making will be on offer, providing a unique insight into the philosopher’s estate.

You will also be able to meet the pupils of the Brède-based Croq’Art association, as well as the artist Dominique DORIÉ (on Saturday 6 June), who have come to capture, with their pencils and brushes, all the nuances of Montesquieu’s gardens. A sneak preview, as the works produced will subsequently be displayed in the estate’s former farmhouse.
