Rendez-vous aux jardins : visite du jardin de la Commanderie de Sallebruneau

For the Rendez-vous aux jardins, the Association les Recherches Archéologiques Girondines is offering a free tour of its medieval-inspired garden of dyeing, medicinal and textile plants. The 400 m² garden was created in 1998 by a volunteer association, based on plants listed in the "De Villis". The garden has been developed since 1998, taking into account numerous medieval sources (treatises, illuminations, historical and botanical studies, etc.). It brings together around a hundred species known in the Middle Ages for their medicinal properties or their uses in food, dye and textiles, which were well known at the time. Free admission, donations accepted.
