It is also the starting point for daily connections with Royan by the amphidrome ferry "La Gironde". Located at the mouth of the Gironde estuary, this maritime link connects Le Verdon-sur-Mer to Royan. The crossing takes about 20-25 minutes for a distance of 6 km (3 miles).
