This cooperative winery is one of the oldest in the département. Vinification began here in 1937. Originally, the press, installed on the first concrete vats, had no roof, and a cooper's shed served as the cooper's office. In the past, a cooper was employed on site. Gradually modernized, the winery was extended by a second building in 1993, specially reserved for Duras wines. By the end of the 20th century, the cooperative had 200 members, covering 120,000 hectares. Wines are produced in 12 appellations: bordeaux red, dry white and rosé, bordeaux-sainte-croix red, entre-deux-mers, blanc moelleux, duras red, dry white, sweet white and rosé, and bergerac red and white. Winner of numerous awards, medals and diplomas, this winery is probably the most important winemaking site...
