EARL du Clos de Bigos

Le Clos de Bigos is a family story that began in the 1950s when André planted half a hectare of vines. His daughter Christiane and her husband Raymond then took over the estate on their return to the Médoc, before their son Nicolas became owner-manager in 2020. Today, his wife Karine manages communications and his son Paul is a sommelier. The 1.60-hectare vineyard, with an average age of 60 years and some hundred-year-old vines, is worked in the traditional way with a straddle-jumper, while the cellar work is done by hand. The grapes are sorted by the family, fermentation takes place in cement vats, then the wine is aged for 20 months in oak barrels and amphorae before bottling, offering an artisanal, sincere and accessible Margaux.
