Le Réfectoire : centre d'interprétation du patrimoine
The Centre d?interprétation du patrimoine (Musée de la bastide) is housed in the former refectory of the Sauveterre-de-Guyenne elementary school, a building steeped in history and fully restored. The museum's vocation is to transmit the history of the bastide and its winegrowing heritage, but also to stimulate curiosity and introduce visitors to artistic practices. It offers an immersive experience organized around complementary spaces: elements of the bastide's identity (seal, archives) and an archaeological collection of 14th-century culinary ceramics; a participatory ecomuseum presenting local know-how and the region's winegrowing memory; a micro-folie, a digital space connected to major national museums; an educational and creative workshop space for schoolchildren.
