📍 Saint-André-de-Cubzac
Château L'Insoumise
Since the 17th century, the Château L’Insoumise exists but it only has that name since the 21th century (previously, it was Domain de Beychevelle). That structure used to be the Cousteau family’s property. The new owners, two young oenologists have acquired that château in August 2007. Around the buildings, is stretched a park shaded by centenary trees, from where we enjoy a stunning view on the Dordogne river. Our vineyard, with designations as Bordeaux and Bordeaux Superieur, extends over 3o hectares. Is composed by four varieties of vine: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and one hectare of old Malbec. The clay-limestone fields provide to our vines a very singular character, rich in flavors and in tannins.
